Catechesis of the Good Shepherd is a Montessori-based approach to religious education rooted in scripture and liturgy for children. The Church of Saint Mary will host a Level 1 Formation Course from August 16th to 22nd, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for any adults interested in becoming catechists for children ages 3-6. Catechesis of the Good Shepherd is a Montessori based religious education experience for children ages 3-12. This ministry will be our main source of religious education for the 2026-2027 school year. Children wanting to receive their sacramental preparation for the sacraments of Reconciliation, Confirmation, and First Communion, will use the CGS approach to prepare. They will complete at least one full year of indirect preparation through the normal atrium session followed by a more direct prep
