Do you need to clean out your board game or puzzle stash? All ages are invited to drop off your gently used puzzles or games and refresh your collections! You can drop them off during open hours at the main circulation desk between August 3-9 . Please ensure all puzzles and board game pieces are complete and in good condition. Items can be suitable for any age group. Then, come back to pick up an item or two to take
Children are invited to craft their own fossil necklace! Participants will shape air-dry clay into an oval, then use stencils to create a fossil design. Stencils include shells, plants, and more! Once your design is complete, paint your fossil, thread the necklace cord through it, and add beads to personalize your necklace. Need tech help? Library staff can provide free one-on-one assistance for adults with basic computer and internet skills, job searching and applications, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.), social media (Facebook, X, etc.), E-books and library databases, new computers or mobile devices…and more! Registration is required by calling 715-261-7230. Appointments are available every other Monday from 4:00-5:00 p.m. and on opposite weeks, every other Wednesday from 11:00-12:00 p.m.

Children are invited to create their very own prehistoric magnets at the library! Using clear glass stones, construction paper, cardstock, and paint, participants will design either a fierce dinosaur eye or a fossil trapped in amber, inspired by the preserved mosquito in the film Jurassic Park . Adults are welcome to join us for relaxed, self-led cribbage games in our charming, historic second-floor space. Whether you’re a seasoned player or are new to this Midwestern staple, all are welcome! There will be playing cards and one cribbage board provided, but groups are encouraged to bring their own board.
