You will meet faculty, staff, and student leaders who are dedicated to your success, and you’ll begin forming relationships that will support you throughout your time at Hollins.

Hollins officially launches the 2026-27 academic year with Opening Convocation on Tuesday, September 1 in duPont Chapel. We will welcome new students into the campus community and seniors will process in their robes for the first time. Immediately following Opening Convocation, seniors will participate in the annual tradition of taking their first official steps onto Front Quad.

Parents and family members are invited to join our Hollins students for a weekend filled with organized activities running from Friday afternoon through Sunday morning! We hope to have you join us! Schedule coming soon.

Spend an inspirational week at the base of the Blue Ridge Mountains on the beautiful campus of Hollins University. Join us in one of our intimate and inspiring manuscript or write now workshops in poetry, fiction, nonfiction, or multigenre.

Women Working with Clay Symposium is about women who work with clay to create pottery, art vessels, and sculpture, and whatever point of view may come with that distinction. The symposium explores the connections of the long history of women in cultures all over the world as vessel makers, artists, and artisans.
