This year’s edition of Spanish Cinema Now + in Dallas presents a showcase of films that reflects the breadth of styles and talents at work in Spain today, including both established auteurs and emerging filmmakers from the international festival scene. After its presentation in Washington, DC, the Meadows Museum will bring these films to Texas thanks to a partnership with the Cultural Office of the Embassy of Spain and Dallas Film. Calling all little ones and their grown-ups! This program welcomes children ages 2–5 and their adults into the museum before it opens to explore art together, focusing on the making and the doing rather than the final product. We will enjoy songs and story time led by Highland Park Library , look at a work of art, experience a new art-making process, and most importantly, have fun! This program invites children to enjoy mornings of guided looking and informal drawing instruction. Each session is focused on a different work of art and offers the chance to carefully observe and explore different drawing techniques in a fun, hands-on environment.
