Grab your paddle and set off on the Pawcatuck River for a calm paddle upstream to begin your journey. Then hitch a ride back with the current and enjoy the quiet beauty of this Wild and Scenic River. Bring binoculars to spot birds, turtles, and other wildlife along the riverbanks. Paddle craft of your choice is welcome, including kayaks and paddleboards. Certified yoga teacher, Janice Fifer, will guide us through Sun Salutations with a focus on hip and shoulder openers to prepare for a paddle up the Pawcatuck River. We will stop along the way for a short meditation and ride the river’s gentle current back to the put-in point. The day will end with relaxation and a closing circle.
