Fort Pitt Museum

From June through August, join Meadowcroft every Friday morning at 9:30 a.m. to help care for the site’s historic garden plots. Spend an hour tending the gardens alongside Meadowcroft staff and enjoy free admission to the museum for the day or receive a pass to return for another visit during the 2026 season. Space is limited to nine volunteers per session, and advance registration is required.

From seasonal tasks to everyday village work, discover what life was really like in early America. Join us every Second Saturday this season as activities rotate each month and village, giving visitors a new experience with every visit. Admission Access to Second Saturday programs are included with admission.

Join us on the Fort Pitt lawn for firings of the museum’s replica British 6-pounder cannon at noon and 2 p.m. all summer long! Experience the sights and sounds of 18th-century artillery right in Point State Park! Outdoor demonstrations are free to watch. Regular admission applies to enter the museum.
