Meadowcroft Rockshelter and Historic Village

From June through August, join Meadowcroft every Friday morning at 9:30 a.m. to help care for the site’s historic garden plots. Spend an hour tending the gardens alongside Meadowcroft staff and enjoy free admission to the museum for the day or receive a pass to return for another visit during the 2026 season. Space is limited to nine volunteers per session, and advance registration is required.

Join us on the Fort Pitt lawn for firings of the museum’s replica British 6-pounder cannon at noon and 2 p.m. all summer long! Experience the sights and sounds of 18th-century artillery right in Point State Park! Outdoor demonstrations are free to watch. Regular admission applies to enter the museum. All cannon firings are weather dependent.
