The official start to a day of racing includes a tech inspection of the race car. Smalley’s Garage was the site for Tech Inspection from the very first race in 1948. Therefore, the way to start the day at the Grand Prix Festival of Watkins Glen is to visit Smalley’s Garage to observe the Tech Inspection reenactment for SVRA cars. A Judged Exhibition that was started in 1948. Concours quality condition and true unrestored “survivor” vehicles, that are factory built spec before 1996, will be considered. There will be two judging classes, Class One manufactured before 1973, and Class Two 1973-1995.
