The Newark-Arcadia Historical Society’s 8th Annual Outdoor History Night takes place on Thursday, August 21st, at 8:00 p.m. at T. Spencer Knight Canal park, Van Buren St., Newark. John Zornow will present a powerpoint program entitled “Newark – A True Canal Town” in celebration of the canal’s bicentennial. Bring your lawn chairs and settle in for an enjoyable evening.. 2026 Calendar cover art online purchase This year’s theme is “Historic Houses of Newark”. The calendar features 13 historic homes, including two cobblestones, and several that date back to the 1830s. The calendars will be available for $10 each at the Museum on Saturdays, 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. (or call for an appt. at other times), as well as Grind-On Coffee Co. (212 S.
