Experience the exhibition Ancient Splendor: Roman Art in the Time of Trajan for free! On Fridays, the Museum is open late and the last entry to the exhibition is at 8 pm. Although the exhibition is free on Friday, tickets are required.

Walk through Picturing Independence and speak to Museum educators about the artworks. Educators will be stationed in the exhibition galleries from 11 am–1 pm to engage in conversation with visitors. Whether you’re curious about the artworks, the history of American art, or the exhibition themes, our friendly educators are here to chat with you and enhance your visit.

Join this guided tour and explore the deep history of human ingenuity through artworks that challenge the modern, digital-centric definition of technology. From ancient wheels and survival tools to weaving techniques and material innovations, this tour will look at how artists and communities across time have engineered creative solutions to meet their needs. Tours begin at the welcome desk in Sculpture Hall and are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
