“Josh Ritter remains at the top of his game two decades into a highlight-strewn career. He’d be forgiven for loosening his grip, but his hand has never felt surer.” – NPR Music “ Harking back to Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen and maybe a little Mark Knopfler, Mr. Ritter has always been a slinger of serious ideas and high-flown imagery.” – The New York Times “Mysterious, melancholy, melodic…and those are only the M’s.” – Stephen King in Entertainment Weekly Renowned singer, songwriter, musician, ar

Noam Pikelny and Stuart Duncan are arguably two of the greatest players to ever pick up their respective instruments. Fiddler and award winning virtuoso Stuart Duncan could easily be called America’s favorite fiddler. Pikelny is, day in and day out, pushing the boundaries of the five-string banjo both on his solo records and with the Punch Brothers. NOAM PIKELNY has emerged as the preeminent banjoist of his generation. He is a founding member of Punch Brothers, a 3-time Grammy Nominee and was aw
I don’t know any other person who worked harder to keep us entertained during 2020 and beyond than comedian Bob Marley. His daily videos were a comic relief from the world’s challenges, and there have been many. Bob has a gift and a way of finding the hilarity in the obvious and the seemingly common occurrences in our sometimes mundane lives. In fact, he would make fun of me for saying all this!!. I can just hear him mocking me now! On a personal note, Bob kept my staff from going crazy! We appr

Many of our SMAC folks have seen cellist Natalie with Scottish fiddler Alasdair Fraser . Fiddler Brittany has been here with numerous super string groups as well. Sisters Natalie (cello) and Brittany (fiddle) Haas began their musical lives together, filling their childhood home with Bach suites and old-time tunes alike. It was on their own, however-following divergent paths through disparate musical traditions, countries, and cultures-that they both arrived as virtuoso and composers at the highe

Sweet Judy Blue Eyes Farewell Farewell Tour … As we celebrate our two decades of presenting shows, we are reminded of how much Judy Collins was a part of that history, as Miss Judy takes her final bow. Judy is definitely a legacy act but I think she is so much more current than that. Recently hitting the talk show circuit I was reminded of her always cutting edge views on life, love and politics. She is like the ever ready bunny touring with the philosophy of use or you lose it. ! She has been a
Don’t get me wrong….We LOVE Ruthie any way we can get her, but this is my favorite way to see Ruthie…solo..it was how I first heard her many years ago, and it stopped me dead in my tracks. Ruthie is mostly considered a blues singer, sometimes a folkie, and sometimes known for being a songwriter. But if you have seen her, you know her as one of the most soulful singers out there today no matter what she sings. Her shows lift you up and her spirit will stay with you long after you have left our ba
