Cyclocross (often abbreviated CX or simply “cross”) is a multi-terrain bicycle racing discipline that combines the speed of road cycling, the technical challenges of mountain biking, and the obstacles and barriers of a steeplechase. At Hale, we have fields, stairs, gravel, a sandpit, and a beach to ride, with fewer rocks and roots than many of Hale’s other trails. You can expect two 20-minute heats and a multiple-lap course.
