The Icon Museum and Study Center

The Museum is offering free admission every Thursday in July. We will have drop-in activities and tours geared towards creative and inquisitive visitors of all ages. Visitors are also invited to join in on guided tours throughout the day offered by Museum staff and volunteers. Among the many treasures held by our museum is a hand-written copy of the Orthodox classic, “ The Ladder of Divine Ascent “. It was made in 1837 by a Russian Monk named Joseph as a spiritual exercise. In 2010 the Codex resurfaced in a small book shop in Finland and was purchased for our collection as a way to contextualize our Saint John Climacus icons
