The American Legion Child Well-being Foundation (CWF) accepts funding proposals from nonprofits for projects that contribute to the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual welfare of children. The American Legion awards between $22,000 and $25,000 in scholarships to deserving baseball players each year. Each Department Baseball Committee may select a player from its department to receive this scholarship. Visit here to download the form. O’Connor Americanism Trophy is awarded annually to the department selected from among the top three departments attaining the greatest number of percentage points which are derived from the activities reported on the Consolidated Post Report form, and to the department which submits the best narrative statement supporting the claim of points shown.
