The deadline to submit the 2025-2026 American Legion Consolidated Post Report (CPR) and Consolidated Squadron Report (CSR) is July 1. The American Legion Child Well-being Foundation (CWF) accepts funding proposals from nonprofits for projects that contribute to the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual welfare of children. The American Legion awards between $22,000 and $25,000 in scholarships to deserving baseball players each year. Each Department Baseball Committee may select a player from its department to receive this scholarship. Visit here to download the form. The Daniel J. O’Connor Americanism Trophy is awarded annually to the department selected from among the top three departments attaining the greatest number of percentage points which are derived from the activities reported on the Consolidated Post Report form, and to the department which submits the best narrative statement supporting the claim of points shown. The American Legion's Boys Nation program will be July 17-24, in Washington, D.C. Ninety-eight incoming high school seniors who are representing their respective department Boys State program will meet at Marymount University in Arlington, Va., and spend a week immersed in the political process. During their eight days at American Legion Boys Nation, the “senators” will learn from a hands-on approach how the U.S. Senate and the federal government function. More Information
The American Legion 3-Position Junior Air Rifle Championship in Hillsdale, Mich., will be held July 21-25. The top 15 youth marksmen in both the precision and sporter category will compete by shooting a .177 caliber air rifle in three positions: prone, standing and kneeling. The top eight shooters in both categories will be finalized July 24 and advance to the championship round the morning of July 25.
