The Riptides were an Australian power pop band formed in Brisbane, Queensland, in 1977. They were led by Mark Callaghan on lead vocals, bass guitar, and rhythm guitar. The band periodically reformed for gigs at universities during Orientation Week and had a reunion in 1987.
