Carl Woideck is a saxophonist, author, teacher, and radio broadcaster who has led jazz groups in the area since the 1970s. He taught popular music history full-time at the University of Oregon School of Music and Dance. He is the editor/writer of the Charlie Parker Companion and the John Coltrane Companion.
